Fact is: Martial arts demands and promotes agility, coordination, speed, strength and endurance in equal measure - regardless of whether the fighter is a woman or a man. One thing should be clearly stated here: Full contact (sparring) is (especially in training) never mandatory! Playful light-contact variations are ideal for working out and minimize the risk of injury (which, compared to sports like soccer or tennis, is very low anyway).
